Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Thomas Glauben

Prof. Dr. Thomas Glauben is the director of the Leibniz Institute for the Development of Agriculture in Transitional Economies (IAMO) and a full professor at the University of Halle.

He studied agricultural economics at the University of Kiel, where he received his doctorate and habilitation.

He is a member of several national and international academic and advisory bodies in the field of politics. Mr. Glauben has held short-term engagements with international institutions including the World Bank and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). His works have been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.

His areas of interest include agricultural and food economics, development economics, geopolitics and econometric methods.
