He was born on June 12, 1949 in Čačak, father Miloš (1925-2000) and mother Milena (1928-2003).

He finished the eight-year school in the village of Preljina (1963), and the gymnasium, majoring in science and mathematics, in Čačak (1967).

He graduated (1973), master's degree (1982) and doctorate (1989) in the field of agricultural economics at the Department/Institute for Agrarian Economics of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade.

During my studies, I was awarded several times and was a BU scholarship holder (in II, III and IV years of study).

He completed his international student internship at the Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazeva, Moscow (USSR, 1971).

Activities during studies: participant of ORA Novi Belgrade (1968), vice-president of FOSS PF in Belgrade (1968/69), councilor of the Educational and Cultural Council of the Belgrade City Assembly (1969-1973), president of the Interfaculty Board of students of agricultural faculties and higher agricultural schools of Yugoslavia ( 1969-1971), president of the Union of Students of the Student City (1971/72), participant of the International Student Work Action - Veszprém, Hungary, 1972; coordinator of the Republican Headquarters of Student Work Brigades (1973); …

After two years of managing the Youth Cooperative "Belgrade" in Belgrade (1973-1975), he began his university career by being elected to the position of assistant-trainee (1975) and assistant (1982) at the PF in Belgrade, where I was also elected to all teaching positions: assistant professor (1989 ), associate professor (1995) and full professor (2001).

Independently and in collaboration with other authors, I published about 300 scientific and professional works in the country and abroad in the field of agriculture, food industry, cooperatives and villages (three editions of the university textbook Economics of Agriculture, four macroeconomic solutions recognized at the national level, chapters in 21 monographs, ...) and the progenitor of two scientific-teaching disciplines at PF BU (Advisory in agriculture and rural development and Economics of rural tourism); …

He took part in the realization of six international projects (2005-2015; manager of two projects) and 18 national projects based on competitions of the relevant Ministry of Science (since 1986), as well as in the creation of a large number of commercial projects and studies that were realized by: Faculty of Agriculture, Institute for agricultural economics, Economic Institute, Association of Agricultural Engineers and Technicians of Serbia, Association of Agricultural Economists of Serbia, ...

He reviewed 29 and edited 18 scientific publications.

Mentor or member of evaluation and defense committees for over 150 graduate theses, 36 master's theses and 29 doctoral dissertations; president or member of the commissions for evaluation and selection of 40 candidates for scientific and teaching positions at all state agricultural and economic faculties in Serbia, the Faculty of Geography, the Economic Institute and the Military Academy in Belgrade, and at the Faculty of Agriculture - Unierze v Maribor (Slovenia).

Gave over 300 lectures in Serbia and five invited lectures abroad; and with over 2,500 authored articles, editorials, interviews and statements in magazines and daily press, numerous appearances on TV and radio shows about agriculture, cooperatives and the countryside, as well as a panelist onKopaonik business forum, Serbian Economic Summit, Food for Europe, International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad,...

Author of the text of the first Declaration on GMOs which (with the text of the Greens of Serbia) was unanimously adopted by over 7,000 councilors in 136 or 80.5% out of a total of 169 municipalities and cities in APV and central Serbia.

Retired from PF BU (2014) and then elected full professor for narrower scientific field of economics at Alfa BK University in Belgrade (2014-2016).
