Jurjević Žana, Ph.D.

She completed undergraduate and master's studies at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad. 

She defended doctoral thesis entitled "Typology and development characteristics of rural areas of Serbia in the process of European integration" in 2021. Since 2014, she has been employed at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, at the Department of Agrarian Economics and Agribusiness. Currently, she is an assistant professor. Her narrow scientific fields of research are rural economy and policy, and additional fields of interest are agrarian policy and development. 

She is the author of numerous scientific works published in journals of international importance. She is co-author of the textbook entitled "Fundamentals of Agrarian Economy", published in 2023. She participated in several domestic and international conferences.

 She is project manager of the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research of AP Vojvodina, entitled "Socio-economic determinants of the revitalization of rural areas of Vojvodina". 

She is a member of the European Association of Agricultural Economists. Also, during her academic career, she was involved in several national and international projects:

• Erasmus + Jean Monnet Center of Excellence - Sustainable Agriculture for Greener Future (AgriGREEN)
• Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module Agricultural Policy of the European Union and its influence on competitiveness of agri-food products of Serbia (AgriCOM)

• Erasmus+ Professional Development of Vocational Education Teachers with European Practices (PRO-VET)

• High-quality, GMO-free soya from the Danube region, project of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development
