Tatjana Brankov is an associate professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad, and a senior research associate in the field of social sciences - economics. She teaches at all levels of studies. She was elected as the President of the Serbian Association of Agricultural Economists in June 2023.
She was born in Trebinje and completed her primary school and high school education in Nikšić. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad. She obtained her doctoral degree from the Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad.
During 2001-2003, she was based at the International Centre
for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies
(CIHEAM-Bari), where she successfully defended her second master's thesis.
She pursued further studies at Texas A&M University in 2005 as a Norman Borlaug Fellowship awardee by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
She is a member of the European Association of Agricultural Economists.

She has published a significant number of papers in both domestic and international journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Tatjana Brankov authored nine papers in scientific journals indexed in SCI/SSCI databases (as the first author in eight of them). Additionally, she has written three monographs: “Food of the Future or Bioterrorism” published by Official Gazette of Serbia, "GM food systems and their economic impact" published by CABI, UK, and "Innovations in the Food System” published by the Faculty of Economics, Subotica.
Currently, she is leading the Erasmus+ project "Development of a bachelor program in agroecology with dual education in Kazakhstan (AGROKAZ)" (2023 – 2026). Dr. Brankov has participated as a panelist in several international forums, including the Agricultural Forum "Food for Europe" (2015, 2016, and 2017), "GMO-free Europe Conference" in Berlin (2018), and "Food Security in the Western Balkans and the Republic of Moldova" organized by the Southeast Europe Association in Munich (2022).
She was awarded the “Green Leaf” for 2023, granted by Radio Belgrade and the Vojvodina Environmental Movement, in recognition of her scientific work in the field of healthy food and the project "Kragujevac without GMO." Additionally, she has been honored with the "Golden Badge" award for her outstanding contributions to the activities of the Union of Agricultural Engineers and Technicians of Serbia in the development of education, science, and agribusiness in Serbia (2019).
Dr. Brankov is not a member of any political party.
She resides in Belgrade, is married, and is the mother of Sofija and Lara.
