Bojan Matkovski, PhD
Assistant Professor

Bojan Matkovski, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad. Since 2012, he has been employed at the Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad, at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness. 

He currently holds the Head of the Department for Agricultura Economy and Agribusiness position. His main fields of interest are the Agricultural Sector in the process of EU integration: Agricultural Development and Policy, Market of agri-food products, and Agri-environmental Economics. In bachelor studies he teaches Basic of Agricultural Economics and Trade of Agri-food Products.

 In master studies, he teaches Project Management in Agribusiness; in PhD studies, he teaches Serbian Agriculture and EU integration. He has published about 50 scientific papers in journals (22 on SSCI/SCI list) and international scientific conferences. In his papers, he has researched the EU integration process and its influence on agricultural development, the competitiveness of the agri-food sector, and agri-environmental measures. 

Also, throughout his academic career, he has been involved in several national and international projects. He is a project manager on two projects: Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module “Agricultural Policy of European Union and its influence on the competitiveness of agri-food products of Serbia (AgriCOM)” and “Network building in the field of competitiveness of agri-food sector of Serbia and EU countries (AgriNET)”, the project of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia. 

Also, he has participated in seven Erasmus+ projects: DualEdu, PRO-VET, DIARKAZ, PARTISH, DUALMON, AgriGREEN, and AGROKAZ. 

He is a member of the Scientific Board of the International Scientific Symposium “Strategic Management and Decision Support Systems in Strategic Management,” and Associated Editor to the journal “Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems”.

He received the best paper award in the LSEE and CEFTA “International Trade in Southeastern Europe” competition and the scientific excellence award in 2022.
