A&R is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to being an international multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary platform for communicating advances in fundamental and applied studies on contemporary agricultural, rural and agricultural issues and policies, as broadly defined by the disciplines of economics, sociology, human geography and related subjects. Since its inception, it has been an efficient, professional and innovative platform for scholars in the field of agriculture and rural studies. It provides cutting-edge research and results, pushing forward discussion and innovation in the respective fields of science it promotes.

With global coverage, the journal invites and publishes articles based on experimental/empirical research to fulfill its mission as a premier academic publisher connecting current research with an international base of authors and readers. A&R publishes articles related to the following, but not limited to:

(1) Sustainable agriculture and sustainable rural development.

(2) Farmers' welfare, rural poverty reduction and women's studies.
