It is with great pleasure that we announce that Ivan Đurić Ph.D, representative of the scientific community from the diaspora, presented in the latest issue of Diplomacy&Commerce magazine. dr. Đurić, who received his doctorate from Martin Luther University in Germany, shared his experiences and insights about the challenges facing domestic agriculture, as well as the possibilities of applying Western practices in Serbia.
In the interview, Ivan Đurić Ph.D. spoke about his long-term commitment to the improvement of the agricultural economy in Serbia. He pointed out that his interest in events in Serbia, especially in the field of agriculture, has never waned. Since arriving in Germany in 2008, his doctoral dissertation focused on the impact of policy measures on the supply chain from wheat to bread during global price peaks - the case of Serbia.
His collaboration on various projects with distinguished professors, such as prof. Ph.D. Vlade Zarić from the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade and others. Bojan Matkovski from the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, significantly contributed to his better understanding of agro-economic measures in Serbia. From 2023, as a member of the Serbian Association of Agricultural Economists and through direct cooperation with dr. Tatjana Brankov, Ph.D. Đurić is intensively engaged in the transfer of acquired knowledge through the presentation of various studies related to food prices in Serbia and the region.
Đurić also emphasized the importance of adapting education in agriculture to modern production and market trends, as well as the need for a more active role of the state in this process. His commitment to the improvement of the agricultural sector makes him an important member of our team and we are proud that his work is recognized and presented in such a prestigious magazine.
