The Stevanovics are a family that has been successfully farming in Gornja Lokošnica for generations. Their property hosts the cultivation and processing of industrial peppers and cherries. Stefan, a young member of the family, inherited his love for agriculture, but also broadened his horizons by studying Computer Science and Informatics at the Faculty of Electronics in Nis. His passion lies in innovation in the processing of agricultural products.
In addition to the faculty and the family farm, Stefan is the founder of the association "Leskovačke piče", whose focus is the promotion of the city's history and the preservation of the environment. Wondering how he accomplishes all this? Stefan points out that the key to success is good will, the desire for personal and joint progress.
Lokošnica is known for growing red pepper, and the Stevanović family is an important part of this story. The indigenous variety of paprika thrives only in these areas, and its seeds are passed down through the generations. Stefan emphasizes the importance of weather conditions and dedication to work for success in pepper production.
The family has been involved from the very beginning - from growing seedlings in greenhouses to harvesting peppers. They are especially proud of their ground pepper, which is different from store-bought. Its unique taste is the result of a long tradition of cultivation and careful processing.
Stefan decided to stay in his hometown, where he sees the potential for further development of the family farm. In addition, through the "Leskovac Stories" association, he wants to bring the history of his region closer to young people. His long-term plans include finishing college, expanding agricultural production, and starting a family in Gornja Lokošnica. Stefan believes that with dedication and motivation, all goals can be achieved.
